Product Info
Is there lead in your wicks?
No—our wicks are 100 percent lead-free.
How long do your candles burn?
Our 10.5 oz candles burn for approximately 70-80 hours when they are used properly.
To ensure the longest life and best performance, please follow these rules:
- Trim the Wick: Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every single burn to prevent excess smoke and soot.
- First Burn: On the first use, burn the candle until the melted wax pool reaches the edges of the jar (which typically takes about an hour). This ensures an even, full-width burn.
- Burn Time Limit: Never burn the candle for more than 2 hours at a time. Always allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
What are your candles made of?
We use a custom soy/paraffin wax blend. burns slow and delivers great scent throw—without leaving behind wax residue when burned properly.
Do your candles contain essential oils?
We do not use essential oils in our candles.
Why do candles sometimes smoke?
This usually happens when the wick is too long or the flame is disturbed by a draft. To ensure the cleanest burn for your home and health, always trim the wick to one-quarter inch before each burn and keep candles away from vents or breezes.
Is candle soot harmful?
The small amount of soot produced by burning a well-maintained candle is generally not considered harmful for most people and pets. Soot is a natural byproduct of combustion (similar to what you’d see from cooking oils or toasters), and it is fundamentally different from harmful soot from sources like diesel or coal. However, if you or a pet have a known sensitivity to fragrances or airborne particles, we always recommend ensuring the candle is burned in a well-ventilated space and keeping wicks trimmed to a quarter-inch to minimize soot production.
Do most pets have issues with scented candles?
Most pets don’t experience problems from typical household scented candles when they’re used as directed. However, animals have a much more sensitive and powerful sense of smell than humans, meaning even fragrances we find pleasant can be overwhelming or irritating to them. It’s best to follow these guidelines:
- Always burn candles in a large, well-ventilated area.
- Keep candles out of reach of pets to prevent accidental burns or ingestion.
- Avoid burning near small or enclosed spaces where your pet spends time.
- Discontinue use if you notice sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, or other signs of irritation in your pet.
